Maurten sports nutrition package for the Olympic Distance Triathlon.
Includes two sachets of Maurten 320, two sachets of Maurten 160, and two Maurten Gel100. One serving of 320 contains 80 grams of carbohydrates (500 ml), one serving of 160 contains 40 grams of carbohydrates, and one Gel100 contains 25 grams of carbohydrates.
To properly follow this sports nutrition plan, drink one 320 sachet (dissolved in 500 ml water) at breakfast or at least half an hour before the race. Then on the bike, consume 2x 500 ml of Maurten 160 and one Maurten Gel 100.
During the run, one Gel 100 is sufficient.
For optimal rapid recovery, we recommend taking a Maurten 320 Drink Mix gel immediately after the race (dissolved in 500 ml water). Do not wait longer than 45 minutes to 1 hour after the race.
How to use Maurten?
Mix the contents of the sachet with 500 ml of water and shake well until fully dissolved. It is essential to use the correct quantities to allow the hydrogel technology to function properly.
How does the Maurten Drink Mix work?
Maurten’s Drink Mix is a sports drink with applied hydrogel technology based on seaweed. When the powder is mixed with water, it creates a sports drink with a high concentration of maltodextrin and fructose. The drink immediately forms a hydrogel upon contact with stomach acid. The hydrogel facilitates liquid and rapid transport of the drink to the intestines, where water, salt, and carbohydrates are quickly absorbed.
