Zone3 was founded in 2007 by James Lock, a highly skilled swimmer and amateur world champion in aquathlon. To boost his triathlon career, he developed his own wetsuit. He had access to many facilities as he was still studying at Loughborough University at the time. The entire research & development department assisted in the creation of this first Zone3 wetsuit. He eventually further developed and commercially launched this wetsuit.
In recent years, the Zone3 collection has expanded with multiple models such as the widely praised Zone3 Aspire, triathlon trisuits for both beginners and advanced athletes, and many swim accessories. The various wetsuits have won several awards in England for their excellent price/performance ratio.
